Main Responsibilities:

  • Reach and maintain the high standards of customer service and sales productivity.
  • Maintain the existing customer base and develop new customers by keeping accurate and detailed customer records and communicating with customers when necessary.
  • Monitor individual and store daily, weekly and monthly sales records and strive to reach and exceed these targets.
  • Ensure availability of merchandise and services by ordering stock from head office and actioning inter branch transfers when required.
  • Identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing a rapport with potential and actual customers and offering the highest levels of customer service.
  • Monitoring pricing and discount policies daily by reviewing price structures sent by head office and obtaining the necessary authorizations wherever the Company policy may require it.
  • Maintaining the stability and reputation of the Company by complying with all legal requirements.
  • Making sure the store is properly merchandised, neat and clean at all times.
  • Colour co-ordination must be appealing and attract attention.
  • The concept must be understood and merchandizing stories must be put together.
  • Displays must be strong in order to sell.
  • All staff members are expected to execute finishing touches such as tucking price tags away.
  • All sales staff members are responsible for ensuring stock is rotated regularly to prevent stock loss due to fading and wear and tear.
  • The Employee must follow all before store opening and after store closing procedures.
  • This includes administrative, cleaning, stock room and weekly spring cleaning duties.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues within the store to your Store Manager or head office timeously.
  • Securing merchandise by implementing the security systems and measures dictated by the company as well as doing regular and accurate stock counts as per company policy.
  • To watch for and prevent shop lifting.
  • Maintaining a harmonious, healthy and productive working environment.
  • Assisting and working together with all staff members to ensure targets are reached.
  • Knowing the selling points, features, styles, colours, sizes and fit of all merchandise.
  • Following all operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining good and positive communication with head office, line managers as well as fellow staff members.
  • Provide the highest standards of after sales service.

Standards of performance relating to the above are attained when:

  • You are well color coordinated according to the company’s policies.
  • You are able to influence others by the way you dress.
  • Your hair and make-up is neat and styled.
  • Your appearance is always neat and clean.
